-------------- Memorial Day Flag Presentation. May 28th, 2010 -------------
On May 28th, 2010, the Town of Morristown was the proud recipient of a United States Flag which was flown in our honor by members of the United States Army over COP Garcia in Nangahar Province, Afghanistan. Mayor Tim Dougherty and Police Chief Peter Demnitz watched proudly as U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Mickey Mays Jr. presented this special flag to Police Captain John F. Kruse on behalf of the brave men and women of Destination Company, 2nd Battalian (Airborne), 503rd Infantry. We thank Sgt. Mays for his service to the nation and ask that all members of our community pause to think of those who are serving in uniform across the world to protect our freedom.
