  • Affordable Housing appealed to publicly to the Council, Planning Board and Redevelopment Agency that Affordable Housing is needed NOW.  Requested the Administration to Apply for a Smart Growth Grant to finish the required Council On Affordable Housing (COAH) Housing Element plan of the Master Plan.
  • Worked with current Mayor (Cresitello) to negotiate a affordable housing fund for the Vail Mansion development.

  • Worked side by side with 2nd Ward community groups. (CCSW, MCDC, BITE, Manahan Village Resident Council,  Neighborhood Watch Associations)
  • Introduced the creation of the Design Review committee for facial improvement to the downtown area.
  • Nominated capable 2nd Ward residents to Town Boards so that the 2nd Ward is properly represented.  Note, always searching for additional volunteers. 
  • Coal and Center Street Redevelopment Council Committee and the Speedwell Avenue Redevelopment Council Committee.

Addressed Quality of Life issues

  • Worked with Residents to improve Caldwell Playground and the playground equipment.
  • Removed Truck Route from Abbett Avenue
  • Worked with Town officials and to produce a traffic congestion and Traffic Light.
  • Successfully, petitioned the Morris Country Community Development Committee for a grant to remove the abundant Zuick Building, (old Suburban Furniture Building on MLK. 
  • Worked with the Town Officials to obtain a grant from the Morris County Community Development so the town could move ahead with the streetscape of CBD zones.
  • Worked with the town engineer to address resurfacing of street and new sidewalks on the Towns priority list.
  • Tougher laws on stacking
  • (2 hour parking regulation (Willow, Lakeside, Logan, Pocahontas and Vail)
  • Continue to work with police department to create better the relationship with Police and our youth.
  • New Jersey Transit Communication to clean up the near the railroad tussle on MLK Ave.
  • Worked to fund the Neighborhood House program for Morristown residents that required financial support to participate.  On a committee with in the Neighborhood House to define guidelines to disburse funds.
  • Worked with a Black and Latino Coalition to enhance relationship among the two groups.
  • Diversity Week – Guest speaker at Morristown High School.
  • Worked on a committee to handle the day labor issue.
